Amanda Gloria Valdes

Amanda Gloria Valdes is a dreamer -a true renaissance woman. Amanda makes her mark as an actress, playwright, director, and yogini.  Amanda Gloria Valdes was named "Change Maker'"  by Yoga Journal Italia in December 2015 for her teaching and work in non-traditional yoga settings to make yoga more accessible.

Amanda found yoga during her studies at Rutgers University, NJ and William Esper Acting Conservatory NY. After Amanda’s big move to the “Big Apple” she found that many artists including herself needed more than just technical training. She was inspired to find ways to enrich her artistic footprint beyond the silver screen and stage using holistic modalities. Amanda has completed Yoga Vida 200 hour Teaching program and Advanced yoga teaching training and mentorships from Laughing Lotus New York in Restorative RASA Yoga 25 hour, Bhakti/Fly 100 hour training in Rishikesh, India under the direction of Dana Trixie Flynn, Kenny Frisby, Felipe Gonzalez, and Jaimie Skolnick. Amanda's classes are filled intricate focus on flow, alignment/mobility, restorative yoga postures, relatable yoga philosophy, and soothing music. Amanda specializes in Vinyasa Yoga, Restorative yoga, Yoga for Crossfitters, Prenatal, and Children's Yoga. Amanda has most recently partnered also works with youth with Dr. Oz's health initiative Health Corps to educate and increase healthier habits with New York City Youth using yoga, Bhakti, and Ayurveda.
