Meet Amanda,
Hello!
Hi, I’m Amanda Gloria Valdes (she/her).
For over 14 years, I’ve been devoted to creating spaces where people can reconnect—to themselves, their communities, and what matters most. Through yoga, meditation, education, and birth work, I support individuals through life’s many transitions with compassion, curiosity, and care.
My Path
I am a 500+ Hour E-RYT, YACEP Yoga Educator, Full-Spectrum Doula, and wellness leader whose work spans local studios, universities, digital wellness platforms, professional development programs, teacher trainings, retreats, and community-centered initiatives. My passion lies in creating experiences that make wellness, movement, and mindfulness more accessible, whether I'm teaching a weekly class, developing curriculum, mentoring wellness professionals, or facilitating large-scale community activations.
As a featured content creator and talent for Melissa Wood Health, my classes reach a global audience through digital wellness programming focused on yoga, meditation, movement, and perinatal wellness. I currently serve as faculty with New York University's Global Spiritual Life Department and have spent over a decade designing educational programs, teacher trainings, and continuing education opportunities for wellness professionals. Most recently, I developed a professional training on Perinatal Movement for the Caribbean Women's Health Association, supporting birth workers in expanding their knowledge of movement during pregnancy and postpartum. I have also contributed to continuing education initiatives for Peloton and previously served as Teacher Training Director for Y7 Studio, where I mentored and supported hundreds of yoga teachers.
My work has been featured through partnerships with Bryant Park Yoga, where I have served as a featured instructor for the iconic outdoor summer series, as well as organizations and brands including Lululemon, Mama Glow, Oribe, Dagne Dover , Nuna, Boobie, Anima Mundi, Sakara Life, Nike, Novo, and more. One of my most meaningful community collaborations was partnering with Nuna, Nordstrom, and Brooklyn Flow to create a free prenatal and parent-and-me yoga experience for New York families, bringing movement, connection, and wellness resources directly into community spaces.
